Students of all abilities are welcome, from absolute beginners to advanced painters, all of whom will benefit from Catriona’s individually tailored advice and encouragement. Catriona is assisted by her husband Roddy, who as a portrait artist counted many celebrities and public figures as his clients including the late Margaret Thatcher.

Life Drawing Class
Drawing from life provides the under pinning practice for all serious visual artists. If you are studying drawing the figure seriously, your non-figurative art will be stronger and have more substance. With this in mind we also run a monthly life drawing class at the St John’s Parish Hall in upper Meads, Eastbourne.
There are two clothed models, male and female – posing simultaneously. All practical materials will be provided – A2 drawing paper, coloured sugar paper, A2 drawing boards, 2B pencils, charcoal, pastels, chalk and erasers.
